Hattons Raise over £1800 for Charity
Solicitors brave the cold, wind and rain in charity cycle challenge
Hattons Solicitors have risen over £1,800 after completing a gruelling 200 mile cycle challenge for brain injury victims.
A team, from the St Helens and Widnes based firm Hattons, took on the mammoth coast to coast ride to support the Halton and St Helens branch of Headway - the brain injury association.
Four Solicitors Commit to Months of Training
Solicitors Mark Cotson, David Merrills, Matthew Smith and Steve Hodkinson committed to months of intensive training, along with consultant Mike Denning and local business man Barry Ford, to prepare for the cycle from St Bees Head near Whitehaven to Robin Hood's Bay near Whitby.
Hattons Solicitors Partner Steve said, "We are delighted to have raised money for such a worthwhile cause as all our training finally paid off."
Team Cycle 200 Miles Instead of the Planned 165
"We were shocked when we realised the terrible weather conditions at the weekend but we all pulled together to get through it. We even had to change our route at the beginning meaning we cycled 200 miles rather than the 165 we'd originally planned to do."
"So far we've raised £1,800 for Headway Halton and St Helens, which really boosted morale when we were struggling up almost vertical hills in the rain. It was certainly team building at its most extreme."
You Can Donate to Headway - The brain injury association
