Hattons Take On Land's End to St Helens Challenge
On Friday 22nd June a team from Hattons Solicitors in St Helens will embark on a mammoth 4 day sponsored bike ride from Land's End to St Helens to raise money for Clatterbridge Cancer Research (Registered Charity No. 519357).
The team taking part in the challenge consists of solicitors Matthew Smith, David Merrills, Mark Cotson, and Steve Hodkinson from Hattons with assistance from Mike Denning and Barry Ford.
Our Region Has The Highest Cancer Mortality Rate in the U.K
Hattons partner Steve Hodkinson commented on why fundraising for this charity was so important saying, "It is a sad fact that our region has the highest cancer mortality rate in the U.K. Most people's lives will have been affected by cancer in one way or another. At Hattons we want to do whatever we can to help Clatterbridge Cancer Research. They receive no funding from the NHS and therefore rely entirely on their supporters to help them raise the £2million a year needed to continue their vital research."
Sarah Jones, CCR's Corporate Fundraiser also commented, "We are thrilled to receive the support of Hattons Solicitors and we are very grateful to those members of staff who have committed to undertaking the Land's End to St Helens charity bike ride. To beat cancer we must understand it, to understand it we must research it and to research it, we must invest. Therefore I encourage anyone who is able to sponsor the Hattons team, however small or large your donation may be – it will make a difference."
