Hattons Solicitors Sponsor St Helens 10K

Over the years Hattons Solicitors have been firmly involved in supporting their local community, most recently announcing their sponsorship of St Helens most high profile community event of 2011, the St Helens 10k Run, in association with the Steve Prescott Foundation.

The St Helens 10k run has already generated a lot of interest from local residents with over a hundred people signing up in just 5 days of releasing entry forms on the new website sthelens10krun.org.uk and many more people anticipated to sign up over the next weeks and months.

Steve Prescott himself is planning on taking part in the race along with local Thatto Heath hero, Corporal Andy Reid, ambassador for ABF The Soldiers' Charity', and Saints past player Paul Sculthorpe.

The 10k run not only supports the Steve Prescott Foundation, but is also raising money for local charities Tunza's Pride, ABF The Soldiers Charity, Willowbrook Hospice, and the Honey Rose Foundation, which is why it is so important that local people grab their trainers and get involved.

Sponsors Hattons Solicitors have been serving their local community giving personal injury and business law advice for nearly ten years, and in fact, the 10K run is three weeks before Hattons celebrate their 10th birthday.

Bruce Hatton, senior partner at Hattons Solicitors, and local St Helens man, commented, "Living in St Helens all my life I've seen this town grow and develop into a vibrant and exciting place to live and work, but one thing that remains the same is the warmth of the St Helens people and how they pull together as a community. The Hattons Solicitors St Helens 10K Run is not only a great way to encourage a healthy lifestyle in the training before the event but is a great chance for the people to pull together and raise money for their local charities. Hattons have been on St Helens doorstep for legal advice for nearly 10 years and this race is a great way of us giving back to the community as well as celebrating our birthday with the rest of St Helens."

Over the last 10 years Hattons Solicitors have contributed over half a million pounds to the local community through sports sponsorship, charitable donations and local schools support.

The race was initially visualised by the Steve Prescott Foundation who have worked closely with St Helens Council to plan the race over the past six months.

Inspirational Steve Prescott MBE is very passionate about the run, saying "I'm delighted that local St Helens firm Hattons Solicitors have decided to sponsor the race, as without their financial backing, we would struggle to hold events like this. I'm also looking forward to seeing everyone come together on the day as we run to raise money and make a real difference to our community."
