We entertained the Crusaders at the Stobart Stadium on Friday night and as always they brought their 'A' game!! It was a tough and very physical game, but one that we managed to tie down and win. I was personally disappointed that we let the two tries in during the second half as i think our defence has been good over the last few weeks.
Trip to London
After the game, the team were given the weekend off and this saw me driving down the M6 at 11pm on Friday night! It was great to spend some time with my family and enjoy some better weather! I never realised the north/south weather divide was so apparent- by the time we arrived back up in St Helens the thermometer in the car had dropped by 12 degrees!!
Saints v Leeds Rhinos
This Friday will see another tough game for us when Leeds Rhinos come to play us. I was injured for the Leeds away game earlier this year and I'm looking forward to playing against a team coached by a former coach of mine. Leeds have some great playmakers and big forward pack so I'm expecting the game to be a great match to watch and a perfect pick for Sky to showcase the sport.
Best Wishes to Ade Gardner
I'd like to wish Ade Gardner a speedy recovery from his ruptured Achilles injury suffered in last weekend's game. This is one of the worst injuries a sportsman can have but i have my fingers crossed he'll make it back for the play-offs.
