Louie’s Blog: The Challenge Cup & Losing Roby!

Louie_M-S_Saints200x200.jpgChallenge Cup

Saturday saw us face Sheffield Eagles at home in the challenge cup. It was a comfortable win but they put up a good fight at the end. The last 5 minutes were damage limitation for us as unfortunately we suffered another 3 injuries in this game!! Our luck on the injury front HAS to change soon!

On Sunday the draw for the next round of the cup was made and I was really pleased that we got another home tie, this time against Featherstone Rovers. I've got a few friends that play there so I'll be looking forward to that one!!

England Training Camp & Losing Roby!

I've just got back from the England training camp where the 32 of us got together and had some good training sessions over the last few days. Jammer drove me, Jon Wilkin and Roby there and we nearly lost Roby en route....!

When we stopped at a service station, me and Jammer ran back to the car closely followed by Wilko as he thought something was going down! Jammer locked the doors and drove off whilst I stopped Wilko from unlocking the doors. However, Wilko got free and unlocked the doors and within seconds Roby had sped up and managed to get in! He's not top metre maker in the Opta stats for nothing!!

Good Luck to James Graham!

On the subject of Jammer, I'd like to wish him all the best for his move to the NRL next season. It must have been a very hard decision to make but I know this will be a fantastic move for his career.
