Louie’s Blog: Pink Vee

saints-giants3-600x620-150x150.jpgI went into Sunday's game against Wakefield feeling well rested and desperate to get going. I was pleased with the final scoreline, but felt that it was a very sloppy game, full of knock-ons and dropped balls. Royce was also disappointed with our performance and our ball control in general. We've been working to rectify this in training this week and hopefully you'll be able to see an improvement this weekend.

More injuries!

Now, I've not mentioned this for a few weeks, but we suffered even more injuries on Sunday!! I really felt for Cloughy, I can't imagine how it must feel to be out injured for 12 weeks, and then get injured again 10 minutes into your first game back. Luckily it doesn't seem as bad as was first felt! We also lost Wello, Wilko and Meli to injury but hopefully none of these will be long term. I also got a knock on my quad at the end of the first half and had to have a scan on Monday night. It's just a small tear and hopefully I'll be ok to just strap it up and play on Friday night.

Pink Vee for Catalan Game

It's a big game this Friday night at the Stobart as we welcome the Catalan Dragons. We've both had short turnarounds and lost players through injury this week so I think we'll be evenly matched. It should be a cracking game and I hope to see you all there wearing your pink vee shirts!

Playing with Leon Pryce

Some good news this week- I'm really pleased that Chris Flannery has signed a one year deal. He's a very hard worker and a great bloke on and off the field. There is also more good news in the fact that Leon should be playing on Friday! I think he'll be coming off the bench and I'm really looking forward to playing with him properly as he's such a class player!!
