Friday night's win was an important one for us. It helped us to more or less secure third place as Huddersfield are now three points behind us in fourth place. It was a tough, defensive match that I was really pleased to win, especially as they inflicted our biggest loss of the season back in May.
If you saw the game on Friday, either live at the Stobart, or on TV, you'll notice that I got knocked out in a tackle in the second half. Unfortunately this meant that I don't remember anything after this, not scoring my try, the changing room afterwards, or even much of the drive home!!
However I did watch the game back when I got in and I am quite pleased with my try! I think I'll be on the wing next week!! I was also awarded Man of the Match for the first time in my Saints career which was fantastic.
The team were all given four days off after the match and this saw me heading down to Devon at 7am Saturday morning! We had a lovely relaxing time down there with family and we even got a day on the beach- I had forgotten what the sun looked like!!
Back to Training
We were all back in training on Wednesday and my body really felt the effects of having a few days off!! However, the rest should put us in good stead for our match this Sunday against Hull KR. Saints haven't won at Craven Park since 2007, so we'll be looking to break that curse for sure, and to cement our position in third place.
