Sunday's game against Hull KR was a disappointing one and I personally think that we were lucky to come away with the draw. We did create some good chances, as the score line showed, but our defence was off on the day. It's always a hard place to visit, and being 14-0 up after 15 minutes perhaps saw us relax a little, whereas we need to be punishing teams when we find ourselves in a situation like that.
Both teams fought evenly for the win, and the scores stayed fairly even throughout the whole game. We came home with a 36-36 draw- which I later heard was the highest ever draw recorded in Super League. It was certainly a good game for spectators as everyone was kept on their toes as the score line went from one way to the other.
We have been working hard on our defence this week, even though it's been a very short turnaround. Defence is a key focus for the whole team in our upcoming game against Catalan on Friday night. I think that Friday's game will be a tough one as Catalan are a good team with some big players. One of these being our own Leon Pryce! I'm looking forward to catching up with him (after the game, of course!), and I'm definitely looking forward to tackling him and keeping him away from our tryline!
