Louie’s Blog: 70-0!

Giants-v-Saints-14May-52resized-150x150.jpgAt last we had a good win at the weekend! Featherstone started really well and gave us a good run for our money in the first 20 minutes but thankfully we kept them at bay and went in with the advantage at half time.

Featherstone slowed down in the second half and we took full advantage of this and won the game 70-0. This is the biggest win I've ever been part of and I could definitely get used to it!!!

I want to say a big well done to Warren Thompson for scoring on his debut- our young lads have really stepped up these past few weeks.

Monday evening saw the draw for the quarter finals of the Challenge Cup being made. I'm so pleased to have another home draw and can't wait to see Hull KR back at the Stobart in July! The Wigan-Warrington draw will no doubt be the spectacle of the round- I'll set the sky plus for that one!

However nice it was to play a Sunday afternoon game, it does mean we have a short turnaround this week as we welcome Crusaders. It's always a tough game against them and they will be extra fresh as they had a weekend off after being knocked out by Leeds Rhinos in the last round. Hopefully we will have some players back and we can put out a good performance in front of a great home crowd.
