Well I'm guessing not many people expected our first win of the season to come against Wigan. It probably wasn't the prettiest but we are delighted to finally pick up the two points and these were hopefully the first of many. On a personal note it was a big game for myself, it was my 250th career game against the club it all started at. I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to stats so this was a big milestone for me but to also score my 100th career try at the same time was great.
Before the game I wasn't sure if I'd be able to play as I was ill the morning of the game and felt like I had no energy. This carried on into the game and I ended up being sick on the pitch twice. In the end it was well worth it.
As I told you in my last blog, away from the game I'm a big horse racing fan and I'm pleased to report my tip in my last blog was successful. Harry the Viking managed to bag 2nd place so for the first time in my life a tip has been a winner!
It's been a strange 3 weeks playing wise, facing my 3 former clubs in consecutive weeks. The Rovers game didn't look too bad on TV but it was the worst conditions I've ever played in, I have never been as cold in my life. After the game the boys went straight into the showers with full kit on in an attempt to get warm as quickly as possible. This week we head back to hull to face Hull FC. I'm hoping the weather and performance are better than my last visit. Wish me luck.
